Couples Therapy
in Florida

Couples therapy offers a safe space to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen your connection. Whether you’re navigating conflict, big life transitions, or simply want to deepen your relationship, your therapist will guide you toward better understanding and healthier patterns—together.

Reconnect, Rebuild, and Grow—Together

Every relationship goes through seasons—times of closeness and times of strain. You may feel more like roommates than partners, stuck in the same arguments, or unsure how to move forward after trust has been shaken. At Seasons Psychotherapy Associates, we understand how important it is to feel supported, understood, and emotionally connected to the person you love.

Couples therapy isn’t about choosing sides. It’s about creating a structured, supportive space where both partners feel heard, where conflict can slow down, and where you can begin to rediscover the connection that first brought you together.

Why Couples Seek Therapy

Couples come to us for many reasons, including:

  • Communication breakdowns or frequent unresolved arguments
  • Emotional distance, disconnection, or lack of intimacy
  • Rebuilding trust after infidelity or betrayal
  • Parenting stress, co-parenting, or blended family dynamics
  • Major life changes (new baby, relocation, illness, career shifts)
  • Differences in values, goals, or identity
  • Deciding whether to separate or recommit
  • Pre-marital preparation for couples preparing to marry

Whatever brings you in, therapy offers a compassionate space to reconnect, strengthen trust, and explore what you both want for the future.

How Couples Therapy Helps

In couples therapy, your therapist acts as a guide—helping you identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and supporting you in shifting those patterns in healthier ways.

Couples often learn to:

  • Communicate more openly and effectively
  • Navigate conflict with respect and empathy
  • Rebuild emotional and physical closeness
  • Strengthen teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Clarify shared values and long-term goals
  • Deepen emotional safety and connection

The goal isn’t just to reduce conflict—it’s to help you build resilience, restore closeness, and feel more confident facing life’s challenges together.

What to Expect at Seasons Psychotherapy Associates

We personalize every couples therapy experience. Our work is informed by well-established, research-supported approaches, including:

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)-informed principles to support emotional bonding and attachment
  • Gottman Method-informed strategies to help repair conflict patterns and strengthen friendship and trust
  • Solution-Focused and strength-based approaches to build on what is already working
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-informed tools when thought patterns impact communication and connection

Rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, we tailor therapy to your relationship’s unique needs and goals.

Sessions are typically 45–50 minutes and are offered in person at our welcoming Florida offices in Davie, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, and Tampa, as well as virtually throughout the state.

Insurance and Payment Information

Insurance sometimes covers couples therapy—but usually only when one partner has a diagnosable mental health condition (such as anxiety, depression, or PTSD). In that case:

  • That partner is considered the “identified client.”
  • Sessions are billed under their name.
  • Therapy must be medically necessary.

Pre-marital counseling and many relationship-focused services are typically private pay.

Our intake team is happy to clarify your coverage and discuss options before you begin, so you can make an informed decision.
